After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Manning, the Scott's Branch Eagles were happy to have found some success on Tuesday. They walked away with a 30-17 victory over Lake Marion. That 30-17 margin sets a new team best for Scott's Branch this season.
Scott's Branch can attribute much of their success to Jordan Kind, who scored six points along with five rebounds and four steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Randy Williams, who scored four points along with three steals.
When it comes to explaining why Lake Marion lost, one person who can't be blamed is Jeremiah Smith. Despite the final result, he scored six points.
The win got Scott's Branch back to even at 2-2. As for Lake Marion, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-4.
Scott's Branch won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Lake City at 6:30 p.m. on December 6th. Lake City has insisted on making their lastthree contests complete nail-biters, turning in a record of 1-2 during that stretch of close contests. As for Lake Marion, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Cross at 5:00 p.m. One thing working in Cross' favor is that they have posted big point totals every time they've taken the court this season.
