The Boerne Greyhounds put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They never let Davenport onto the board and left with a 1-0 victory. Given Boerne's advantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 33rd, while Davenport is ranked 299th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Boerne's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 9-0. As for Davenport, their loss dropped their record down to 7-5.
Boerne will be playing at home against Bandera at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Boerne's defense has only allowed 0.4 goals per game this season, so Bandera's offense will have their work cut out for them. As for Davenport, they will head out on the road to challenge Wimberley at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
