Avocado - West recap September 24, 2013
Carlsbad's Dylan Rutledge rumbled for the longest rushing play in Avocado - West this season in his game against Westview last week. Rutledge ran for 62 yards on the play and finished with 92 on the day as his team defeated the Wolverines.
Adding to the longest winning streak in the league this week, Carlsbad beat Westview 56-7,. This was the team's fourth consecutive win.
Christian Chapman and Rutledge gave the Lancers a balanced attack through the air and ground last week. Damaris Pulido Christovale also contributed to the rushing game with 79 yards on the ground.

Lasua was the best receiver in Avocado - West this week as the Panthers fell to the Falcons.
Carlsbad's offense cannot be tamed this season and the Lancers feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Chapman has thrown for 659 yards and 12 touchdowns this season, while Jordan Perez has 13 catches for 230 yards.
La Costa Canyon moved up to 146 from 210 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in the league. The Mavericks were able to move up by defeating San Clemente 16-13.
