Leander had to endure a six-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They blew past the Hendrickson Hawks 3-0 on Tuesday. The matchup marked the Lions' most dominant victory of the season so far.

While Leander won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the third set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-20, 25-13, 25-22.

Leander's win bumped their record up to 10-11. As for Hendrickson, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-10 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Leander will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on LBJ Austin at 6:30 p.m. on September 5. As for Hendrickson, they will welcome Del Valle at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
