The Menendez Falcons won against the Deltona Wolves last Monday with 46 points and they decided to stick to that point total again on Thursday. Menendez snuck past Deltona with a 46-42 victory. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Menendez.
Dasani Newsome was the offensive standout of the game as she dropped a double-double on 12 points and 11 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Jakayla Newsome, who scored eight points along with two steals.
Menendez has been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 12 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 11-5 record this season. As for Deltona, their loss ended a seven-game streak of away wins and brought them to 10-4.
Menendez won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Bolles at 6:00 p.m. on January 19th. Hopefully Bolles focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 30 last Wednesday.
