The Skyridge Falcons were the 77-66 winner over the Lehi Pioneers when they last played one another back in January, but their luck changed this time around. Skyridge ended up on the wrong side of a tough 62-41 walloping at the hands of Lehi on Friday. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Skyridge has scored all season.
Skyridge's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Dane Housley, who scored six points along with five steals. Another player making a difference was Ryder Gentry, who scored 11 points along with seven rebounds.
Skyridge's defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 9-12. As for Lehi, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten contests, which provided a nice bump to their 18-3 record this season.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Skyridge will take on Pleasant Grove at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are closely ranked in Utah (Skyridge is ranked 40th, while Pleasant Grove is ranked 36th). As for Lehi, they will head out on the road to face off against Lone Peak at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Lehi will roll in looking for their sixth straight win, something Lone Peak surely won't give up without a fight.
