Open Door Christian Academy unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They took a  blow against the Brighton Bengals on Tuesday, falling  58-12. The Conquerors were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at  37-7.
 Brighton found their leader in sophomore  Jesslyn Breaux, who  shot 50% from the field en route to 18 points in addition to seven  rebounds and six  steals. Breaux has been hot, having  posted three or more  steals the last six times she's  played. Another player making a difference was  Sophie Caruso, who  went 8-for-14  to rack up 17  points and three  steals.
 Both  teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Open Door Christian Academy will welcome Mount Olive Christian  at 5:30  p.m.  on Friday. As for Brighton, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Ascension Classical  at 5:30  p.m.  on November 5.
