Basketball Game Preview: Brownsburg Bulldogs vs. Pike Red Devils

The Brownsburg Bulldogs will take on the Pike Red Devils at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, both will really light up the scoreboard.

Brownsburg is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Indiana's top teams: Fishers, who was ranked 21st at the time (Brownsburg was ranked sixth). Brownsburg really took it to Fishers for the full four quarters, racking up a 56-29 victory. The Bulldogs have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight contests by 23 points or more this season.

Brownsburg's win on Friday was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Avery Gordon, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and 12 boards. Gordon has been hot, having posted 11 or more rebounds the last five times she's played. Another player making a difference was Elle Mcculloch, who posted 11 points.

Brownsburg was working as a unit and finished the game with 15 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Fishers only racked up eight assists.

Meanwhile, Pike entered their tilt with Harvest Prep on Monday with seven consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with eight. They took down the Warriors 57-38.

Brownsburg has also been performing well recently as they've won ten of their last 12 games, which provided a nice bump to their 15-4 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 65.3 points per game. As for Pike, their win bumped their record up to 14-3.

Everything came up roses for Brownsburg against Pike when the teams last played back in January of 2024, as the squad secured an 85-53 victory. In that match, Brownsburg amassed a halftime lead of 49-24, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Tuesday.
