There's no place like home for Howard, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Northeast Raiders on Wednesday, sneaking past 2-1. The Huskies haven't had any issues with the Raiders recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive win against them.

Howard had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next two. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 21-25, 25-20, 16-14.

Howard's victory bumped their record up to 3-5. As for Northeast, they are on a 12-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-7.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Howard will host Peach County at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. After both having extra time off, Northeast and Westside will shake off the cobwebs and hit the court against one another at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
