Jacari Barnett Crosses Big Stat Threshold
Starting off the list is Elbert County's Jacari Barnett, who we judged to be the best player in the league this week. Barnett rushed for 155 yards and three touchdowns. The performance once again pushed his average rushing yardage north of 100 yards per game (106.4). His rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his fourth straight game with at least 130 rushing yards.

Reid Giles continued his hot streak on Friday by dropping his fourth-straight game with at least two rushing touchdowns. He made four total tackles. He was no stranger to the big play, cutting upfield on a catch that went for 64 yards.
Rabun County pushed their record up to 6-2 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home. Giles and Rabun County will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Athens Academy at 7:30 p.m. on October 25th.

Jamari Welch's Big Game Leads Athens Academy over Providence Christian Academy
Jamari Welch was instrumental in extending Athens Academy's winning streak to eight on Friday. Welch turned in nothing short of a gem, rushing for 100 yards and a touchdown, while also catching a touchdown. He really tore up the turf during one magnificent 97-yard run.
Unfortunately for Providence Christian Academy, this isn't the first big game they've seen from Welch. Welch rushed for 98 yards and a touchdown on only 13 carries the last time he and the Storm duked it out back in October of 2023.
