Even though the Stansbury Stallions scored an imposing 63 points on Tuesday, the Jordan Beetdiggers still came out on top. Jordan took their game against Stansbury 70-63. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Jordan.
It was another big night for Ayden Doyle, who scored 22 points along with five rebounds and three steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season. Trent Benson was another key contributor, scoring 12 points.
Several Stallions players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Will Stephens, who scored 16 points. Stephens continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Luke Rich, who scored 16 points.
Even though they lost, Stansbury were working as a unit and finished the game with 14 assists. This was only their ninth loss (out of 12 games) when they've passed the ball that well.
Jordan is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a massive bump to their 6-9 record this season. As for Stansbury, their loss dropped their record down to 3-12.
Jordan will be playing at home against Park City at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Park City is hoping to put an end to a four-game streak of away losses. As for Stansbury, they will head out on the road to take on Cottonwood at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Cottonwood is coming into the contest hot, having won their last five games.
