Shawe Memorial is 1-8 against Trinity Lutheran since January of 2015 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. Last Friday, Shawe Memorial earned a 60-51 victory over Assumption Academy. The win was just what Shawe Memorial needed coming off of a 72-38 defeat in their prior contest.
Meanwhile, Trinity Lutheran scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Saturday. They took down New Washington 83-68. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Trinity Lutheran.
Trinity Lutheran got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Levi Pottschmidt out in front who dropped a double-double on 17 points and ten assists. That's the first time this season that Pottschmidt posted eight or more assists. The team also got some help courtesy of Kowan Gross, who scored 24 points.
The win got Shawe Memorial back to even at 6-6. As for Trinity Lutheran, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 5-9 record this season.
