Jones hasn't had much luck against Northside recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Eagles will face off against the Mustangs at 4:30 p.m. Jones is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 12.7 runs per game this season.
On Friday, Jones got the win against Little Village by a conclusive 19-4. Considering the Eagles have won 15 matches by more than seven runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.
Anna Black made a big impact no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out 11 batters over four innings while giving up just two earned (and two unearned) runs off three hits (and only one walk). She has been consistent: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in five consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, three runs, and three RBI. That's the most runs she has posted since back in April.

Jones always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .852. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Meanwhile, Northside fell victim to Niles North and their airtight pitching crew on Monday. They came up short against the Vikings, falling 17-0. The Mustangs have struggled against the Vikings recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost meeting.
Jones' record is now 17-4-1. As for Northside, their loss dropped their record down to 5-16.
Northside's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Jones has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .551. It's a different story for Northside, though, as they've only averaged .359. Will they be able to contain Jones' hitters?
Jones suffered a grim 13-3 defeat to Northside when the teams last played on Tuesday. Can the Eagles avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
