Landon Ward Has Career-Day on Friday
Starting off the list is Willcox's Landon Ward, who we judged to be the best player in the league this week. On Friday Ward made three total tackles and defended four passes, good enough to also set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process. He was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 58 yards.
Willcox has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 5-3 record this season. Ward and Willcox will challenge Benson at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Big Game from Lopez As Bisbee Won 35-21
Bisbee picked up their fifth consecutive win on Friday thanks in part to Sebastian Lopez. Lopez turned in nothing short of a gem, throwing for 255 yards and three touchdowns on only 17 passes, while also rushing for 40 yards. He also put in work on the defensive side of the ball, forcing a fumble, making eight total tackles, and defending three passes in addition to snagging an interception.
For the year, Lopez has thrown 14 touchdowns while averaging 209.4 passing yards per game. He is looking even better than he did last year: after eight games last season, he had nine passing touchdowns.

Flint Davis and Co. Win Third in a Row
Flint Davis's big game helped extend Benson's winning streak to three on Saturday. Nobody could stop Davis as he rushed for 150 yards and two touchdowns on only eight carries. His longest rush was for an impressive 65 yards, which helps to explain his lofty yards per carry total.
Benson's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 5-3. Davis and Benson will stay at home for another week and welcome Willcox at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Jmiah Wallis was instrumental in extending Tombstone's winning streak to three on Friday. Wallis turned in nothing short of a gem, rushing for 148 yards and two touchdowns. He really tore up the turf during one magnificent 85-yard run.

On Friday, Tombstone got the W thanks in part to DJ Elias playing the best football he has all season.
