After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Frostproof, the All Saints' Academy Saints were happy to have found some success on Thursday. They enjoyed a cozy 70-53 win over Ridgeview Global Studies Academy. That result was just more of the same for these two, as All Saints' Academy also won the last time the pair played back in January of 2023.
All Saints' Academy's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Claudarius Bell, who scored 22 points along with four steals. The match was Bell's fifth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Jaelen Randall, who dropped a double-double on ten points and 11 steals.
Ridgeview Global Studies Academy's loss came despite strong showings from Jacob English and Travis Babers. English scored 12 points, while Babers scored 12 points. Those 12 points set a new season-high mark for him. The team also got some help courtesy of Jordan Williamson, who scored eight points.
All Saints' Academy now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Ridgeview Global Studies Academy, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-5.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. All Saints' Academy won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Winter Haven Christian at 7:30 p.m. on January 5th. As for Ridgeview Global Studies Academy, they will head out on the road to face off against Mulberry at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Mulberry knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past five matches -- so hopefully Ridgeview Global Studies Academy likes a good challenge.
