The University Titans's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Monday after their 12th straight loss. Their tough 68-43 loss to Flagler Palm Coast might stick with them for a while. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat University has suffered against Flagler Palm Coast since January 28, 2015.
When it comes to explaining why University lost, one person who can't be blamed is Aidon Amoah. Despite the final result, he dropped a double-double on 19 points and 16 rebounds. Amoah hasn't dropped below eight rebounds for five straight games. Ernie Centeno was another key contributor, scoring 13 points along with six rebounds.
Even though they lost, University smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 22 offensive rebounds. That's the most offensive rebounds they've managed all season.
University's defeat was their seventh straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 1-18. As for Flagler Palm Coast, their victory bumped their record up to 9-11.
University will be playing at home against New Smyrna Beach at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Flagler Palm Coast, they will head out on the road to face off against Palatka at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
