Basketball Recap: Sunbright Piles Up the Points Against Greenback

Sunbright came tearing into Monday's match with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 12 points) and they left with even more momentum. They blew past the Greenback Cherokees 72-40. The Tigers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five games by 32 points or more this season.

Leading Sunbright to victory were Noah Bunch and Garrett Rogers. Bunch posted 26 points, while Rogers earned 23 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Levi Walker, who had nine points.

Sunbright is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a nice bump to their 9-5 record this season. As for Greenback, they are on a 15-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-9.

Sunbright wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 40-31 victory against Rockwood on the 7th. As for Greenback, they will square off against Midway at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
