Volleyball Recap: Saturday's Defeat Ends Northridge's Winning Streak

After a string of eight wins, Northridge's good fortune finally ran out on Saturday. They fell 2-0 to the Concord Minutemen. The Raiders were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Minutemen earlier this season, when they won 3-1.

Myah Miller paced Northridge's offense, picking up eight kills. Miller got some help from Izzy Melvin and her 17 assists. Melvin was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.

Northridge's defeat dropped their record down to 22-7. As for Concord, they have been performing well recently as they've won 12 of their last 15 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-8 record this season.

Northridge will be playing at home against Elkhart at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Concord, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-0 victory against Lakeshore on the 4th.
