Eastern have had a week off and are no doubt ready to get back on the field. They will challenge Wilson on the road at 2:00 PM on Saturday. With a combined 836.3 yards in their previous games, we can expect a fast-paced match.
After a disappointing 0 points in the contest before, Eastern made sure to put some points up on the board against Wakefield two weeks ago. Eastern took down Wakefield 37-20. Senior Jalan Young, who picked up 101 yards on the ground and accumulated 257 passing yards, was a major factor in Eastern's success.
Meanwhile, Wilson faced Archbishop Carroll in a battle between two of the state's top teams. Wilson snuck past Archbishop Carroll with a 30-26 victory. The team accrued the bulk of their points in the first half (24) and coasted on those for the victory.
Their wins bumped Eastern to 1-2 and Wilson to 3-1. In Wilson's win, junior Malakai Anthony passed for 223 yards and 1 touchdown and senior Amir Gerald rushed for 65 yards and 1 touchdown. We'll see if Eastern have a strategy for dealing with them or if they lead their team to another successful outing.
