On Monday, Springwood beat Southern Christian 49-36. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Springwood.
Southern Christian's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Caylin Oswald, who scored 18 points along with three steals, and Chloe Oswald who scored eight points along with seven rebounds and three steals. Oswald is absolutely dominating the steal category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season.
Southern Christian struggled to get the ball back on offense and finished the game with only four offensive rebounds. That's the fewest offensive rebounds they've managed all season.
Springwood pushed their record up to 13-3 with that victory, which was their third straight at home. As for Southern Christian, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-4.
Springwood won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Glenwood at 7:00 p.m. on January 16th. Glenwood will be looking to extend their current nine-game winning streak. Southern Christian will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on East Central HomeSchool at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
