The Willard Tigers were the 51-39 winner over the Olathe North Eagles when they last played one another back in January of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. Willard fell to Olathe North 51-45.
Olathe North got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Asia Lee out in front who scored 28 points. That makes it four consecutive games in which Lee has scored at least a third of Olathe North's points. Another player making a difference was Rhema Stemmons, who scored 12 points along with nine rebounds.
Willard's defeat dropped their record down to 5-7. As for Olathe North, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-6.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Willard will take on Logan-Rogersville at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Logan-Rogersville will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak. As for Olathe North, they will be playing at home against Blue Valley Northwest at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
