The Clements Colts will venture away from home to  take on the Wilson Warriors  at 4:30  p.m.  on Tuesday.
On Saturday, Clements came up short against Colbert County  and fell  9-6. The  loss   continues a  trend for the Colts in their matchups with the Indians: they've now lost five in a row.
Clements got a good showing from  Grayson Kennington, who   tossed two innings while giving up   no  earned runs off   one  hit.
 On the hitting side,  Cannon Lovell made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and  scored two  runs while going 1-for-2.
Meanwhile,  winning is always nice, but doing so behind a  season-high score is even better (just ask Wilson). They blew past New Hope 21-12 on Saturday. The result was nothing new for the Warriors, who have now won three games by seven  runs or more  so far this season.
 Jack Darby was a standout: he scored four  runs and  stole two bases while  getting on base  in all six of his plate appearances. He is becoming a predictor of Wilson's success: when he posts  at  least two  stolen bases the team is 3-1 (and 2-4 when he doesn't). The team also got some help courtesy of  Cayden McCormack, who  got on base  in four of his six plate appearances with three  runs, three  RBI,  and one  triple.
 Wilson  always had someone on base and  finished the game having  posted an OBP of .600. That's the best  OBP they've posted all season.
 The  victory  got Wilson back to even at 5-5. As for Clements, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-3.
 Clements might still be hurting after the  28-1 loss they got from Wilson  when the teams last played  back in March of 2021. Can Clements avenge their  defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
