Even though the IMG Academy White Ascenders scored an imposing 63 points on Friday, the Boca Ciega Pirates still came out on top. Boca Ciega secured a 68-63 W over IMG Academy White.
It was another big night for Jordan Naylor, who scored 28 points. Kaleb Oriol was another key contributor, scoring 14 points.
Boca Ciega's win bumped their record up to 10-6. As for IMG Academy White, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-5.
Boca Ciega and Osceola will face off at 8:00 p.m. on January 9th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Osceola has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. IMG Academy White is on the road again on Friday and play against The Villages Charter at 7:30 p.m. on January 5th. The Villages Charter knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past three contests -- so hopefully IMG Academy White likes a good challenge.
