After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Silver Valley, The Temecula Prep Patriots were happy to have found some success on Thursday. They claimed a resounding 29-0 victory over Saint Jeanne de Lestonnac Catholic School at home. The result was nothing new for Temecula Prep, who have now won three matchups by 21 points or more so far this season.
Aidan Fritts was on fire: he rushed for 280 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 12.2 yards per carry. Alex Grasso-Martins was another key contributor, rushing for 97 yards and a touchdown on only five carries.
Temecula Prep's defense stepped up as well, laying out the QB six times. The heavy lifting was done by Matthew Hernandez and Oliver Pironti who racked up six sacks between them.
When it comes to explaining why Saint Jeanne de Lestonnac Catholic School lost, one person who can't be blamed is Josh Stahl. Despite the final result, he rushed for 90 yards.
Temecula Prep's win bumped their record up to 4-5. As for Saint Jeanne de Lestonnac Catholic School, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-5.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Temecula Prep has the luxury of staying home another week and will welcome California Military Institute at 7:00 p.m. on October 27th. Saint Jeanne de Lestonnac Catholic School will take on The Webb Schools at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
