The Rittman Indians will head out on the road to square off against the Woodridge Bulldogs at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. Woodridge took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on Rittman, who comes in off a win.
Having struggled with ten defeats in a row, Rittman turned things around against Aquinas on Friday. They put the hurt on the Knights with a sharp 19-2 victory. The Indians' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.
Lillian Halliwell and Cailin Tyree were major factors no matter where they played. Throwing, Halliwell struck out ten batters over four innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off three hits (and only one walk). Meanwhile, Tyree pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. Halliwell has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in ten consecutive appearances. At bat, Halliwell went 2-for-3 with one triple and two RBI, while Tyree went 2-for-4 with three runs, one triple, and two RBI. That's the most RBI Tyree has posted since back in March.

Rittman was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .500. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.
