Volleyball Recap: Skyline Takes a Loss

Skyline lost against Boulder Creek back in October of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Coyotes fell just short of the Jaguars by a score of 3-2.

Skyline took a 2-1 lead headed into the fourth set, but sadly they lost the next two. The final score came out to 23-25, 25-23, 20-25, 25-20, 17-15.

Defeat or not, Skyline got some senior leadership from Elianna Bancroft and Clara Lopez. Bancroft had four blocks, three digs, and three aces, while Lopez had 16 kills, six blocks, and three aces. Bancroft is also on a roll when it comes to assists, as she's now posted 13 or more in each of the last 12 games she's played. Brianna Buxton was another key player, getting eight kills, four digs, and three aces.

Adilyn Mittendorf had an outrageously good game for Boulder Creek as she had 19 digs and four aces. What's more, Mittendorf posted four assists, the most she's had since back in September.

Skyline dropped their record down to 11-15 with the loss, which was their third straight on the road. As for Boulder Creek, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 16-18.

Skyline didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-1 defeat against Mountain View on the 21st. As for Boulder Creek, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 3-2 loss against Pinnacle on the 21st.
