Somerset Berkley Regional has enjoyed a three-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will take on the Bourne Canalmen at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Last Friday, Somerset Berkley Regional made easy work of Mt. Hope and carried off a 64-41 win.
Meanwhile, Bourne came tearing into Tuesday's game with five straight wins dating back to last season (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 19.4 points) and they left with even more momentum. They breezed by West Bridgewater at home to the tune of 66-13.
The victory got Somerset Berkley Regional back to even at 2-2. As for Bourne, their victory was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 2-0.
Somerset Berkley Regional came out on top in a nail-biter against Bourne in their previous matchup back in January of 2023, sneaking past 44-42. The rematch might be a little tougher for Somerset Berkley Regional since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
