The Fairview Tigers and the Beaver Bobcats will round out the year against one another at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday at. Beaver took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Fairview, who comes in off a win.
Fairview had to endure a seven-game losing streak dating back to last season, but that streak is no more. They walked away with a 55-48 victory over Seneca last Friday. That 55-48 margin sets a new team best for Fairview this season.
Meanwhile, Beaver pushed their score all the way to 61 on Thursday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They took a 80-61 bruising from Peters Township. Beaver has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Beaver's loss came about despite a quality game from Brady Mayo, who scored 29 points. The game was Mayo's ninth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Pacer Hill, who scored six points along with six rebounds.
Fairview's win bumped their record up to 1-5. As for Beaver, they now have a losing record at 4-5.
