The Monument Valley Cougars won the last time they faced the Whitehorse Raiders, and things went their way on Saturday too. Monument Valley put the hurt on Whitehorse with a sharp 52-30 win.
Monument Valley's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Shimequa Hudson led the charge by scoring 16 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Nevaeh Wilson, who scored 13 points.
Monument Valley's win bumped their record up to 4-1. As for Whitehorse, they now have a losing record at 2-3.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Monument Valley will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against Parowan at 6:30 p.m. on December 8th. As for Whitehorse, they will take on Red Mesa at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Red Mesa focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 24 on Thursday.
