South Christian came into Friday's matchup having lost eight straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Grandville Bulldogs a 6-0 shutout on Friday. The result was nothing new for the Sailors, who have now won nine games by six runs or more so far this season.

South Christian's win bumped their record up to 13-14. As for Grandville, their defeat dropped their record down to 15-9.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. South Christian will venture away from home to face off against Thornapple Kellogg at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Grandville, they will head out to square off against Zeeland West at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
