The Happy Camp Indians scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Friday. They claimed a resounding 68-19 win over Dunsmuir at home. That 49 points margin sets a new team best for Happy Camp this season.
It was another big night for Luis Osorio, who scored 19 points along with seven rebounds and six steals. Osorio is absolutely dominating the steal category: he's posted at least two every time he's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Jean Wright, who scored 11 points along with six rebounds and five assists.
Happy Camp pushed their record up to 6-1 with that victory, which was their eighth straight at home. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 59.4 points per game. As for Dunsmuir, they are on a 12-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-14.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Happy Camp won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Bethel Christian at 3:30 p.m. on January 20th. Bethel Christian will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps California Rankings (they are ranked 1416th, while Happy Camp is ranked 629th). As for Dunsmuir, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Tulelake at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. That game will pit two of the most dominant players against one another: Leo Leon and Michael Kellar.
