There's no place like home for the Paulding Panthers, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road last Thursday. They walked away with a 43-35 victory over St. John's on Tuesday. For Paulding, this counts as revenge for the 39-30 loss St. John's walked away with the last time they faced one another back in January of 2023.
Paulding found their leader in underclassman Tori Schlatter, who scored 17 points along with seven rebounds and four steals. That's the first time this season that Schlatter scored 15 or more points. Brooklyn Schlatter was another key contributor, scoring eight points.
The win got Paulding back to even at 4-4. As for St. John's, their loss dropped their record down to 4-8.
Paulding will be playing at home against Ayersville at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Ayersville will be coming into the matchup with an undefeated record on the line. As for St. John's, they will head out on the road to face off against Fort Recovery at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Fort Recovery is coming into the contest on a four-game losing streak.
