Meade has enjoyed the comforts of home their last two games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will face off against the South Gray Rebels at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Winning is just a little bit easier when you work as a team to rack up 14 more assists than your opponent, a fact Meade proved on Friday. They claimed a resounding 46-13 victory over Sublette at home. Given Meade's advantage in MaxPreps' Kansas basketball rankings (they are ranked 81st, while the Larks are ranked 323rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
It was another big night for Dallas Sherman, who dropped a double-double on 20 points and 11 rebounds. She is trending in the right direction, as she's improved her point production for four games straight. Carlie Martin was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with five rebounds and four steals.
Meanwhile, South Gray can now show off 11 landslide victories after their most recent matchup on Friday. They blew past Pawnee Heights 62-33 at home. 62 seems to be a good number for South Gray as the squad scooped up a victory with the same number of points in their previous game.
Meade is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine games, which provided a nice bump to their 9-6 record this season. As for South Gray, their win was their 16th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 14-1.
Meade lost to the Rebels on the road by a decisive 61-47 margin in their previous meeting two weeks ago. Can Meade avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
