Navajo Prep pushed their record up to 13-5 with the  win, which was their fifth straight  at home. The team dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 21 runs. As for Tohatchi, their  loss was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 4-1 and their overall record down to 8-10.
The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Navajo Prep beat the Cougars by a score of  13-11 later that day.
