Rock Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They were beaten by the Kearny Komets 49-9.

Ashton St. Jean rushed for 76 yards.
A big part of the win came down to the chemistry between Brodie Stump and his top target Zaiden Gravely. Stump threw for 344 yards and five touchdowns while completing 75% of his passes while Gravely picked up 150 receiving yards and three touchdowns. Gravely's receiving production has been exceptional recently as that marked his third straight game with at least 122 receiving yards dating back to last season. Zeni Reyes was another key player, picking up 49 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
Rock Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Kearny, they now have a winning record of 2-1.
Rock Academy will challenge Castle Park at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Rock Academy focused on turnovers this week as team gave up five on Friday. As for Kearny, they will look to defend their home field on Friday against Santa Rosa Academy at 7:00 p.m.
