Baseball Recap: Albion Gets the Win

Albion's game on Wednesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Thursday. They were the clear victors by a 10-0 margin over the Byron-Bergen Bees. The Purple Eagles have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Bees, too.

Nathan Gibson was a major factor no matter where he played. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out eight over five innings pitched. Gibson was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with three stolen bases and three runs. Those three runs gave him a new career-high.

In other batting news, Kaiden Froman was incredible, going 3-for-4 with three stolen bases, three RBI, and one run. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in April of 2025. Victor Snyder was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two runs.

Albion was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .385. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Byron-Bergen only posted a batting average of .067.

Albion's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-2. As for Byron-Bergen, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.

Albion didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 9-1 loss against Kendall on the 11th. As for Byron-Bergen, they have also already played their next matchup, a 6-4 defeat against Lyons on the 13th.
