Berks Catholic and Schuylkill Valley are an even 5-5 against one another since April of 2021, but likely not for long. The Blue Jays are taking a road trip to square off against the Panthers at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Berks Catholic is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.1 runs per game this season.
On Wednesday, Berks Catholic made easy work of Wyomissing and carried off a 10-2 victory. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Blue Jays.

Henry Pflomm made a splash no matter where he played. He tossed 6.2 innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off four hits. Berks Catholic is undefeated when Pflomm allows one or fewer earned runs, but 1-3 otherwise. Pflomm was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-2 with one double and one RBI.
In other batting news, Aiden Curley was incredible, going 2-for-3 with one triple, one stolen base, and two RBI. He has been hot recently, having posted at least one triple the last three times he's played. Dominic Valent was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two runs and one RBI.
Berks Catholic always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .531. They are a perfect 3-0 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.
Meanwhile, Schuylkill Valley didn't have quite enough to beat Hamburg on Wednesday and fell 4-2. The defeat continues a trend for the Panthers in their meetings with the Hawks: they've now lost three in a row.
Schuylkill Valley saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Tristan Goda, who went 2-for-4 with one RBI.
Schuylkill Valley now has a losing record of 4-5. As for Berks Catholic, they now have a winning record of 4-3.
Everything went Berks Catholic's way against Schuylkill Valley in their previous meeting back in May of 2025, as Berks Catholic made off with a 13-6 win. Will the Blue Jays repeat their success, or do the Panthers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
