The Notre Dame Prep Fighting Irish lost against the Mott Corsairs back in January of 2019, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. Notre Dame Prep fell just short of Mott by a score of 36-33. Notre Dame Prep has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Ellie Whalen and Sydney T burke certainly did their best on Monday to avoid the loss. Whalen scored four points along with eight rebounds and five blocks, while T burke scored 11 points along with two steals. T burke is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last eight games she's played.
Notre Dame Prep's defeat dropped their record down to 7-7. As for Mott, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 10-6.
Notre Dame Prep didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 57-46 loss vs. Lakeville on the 5th. Mott has also already played their next match, a 48-20 defeat against Lakeland on the 6th.
