The Uniontown Eagles waltzed into their match on Tuesday with two straight wins but they left with three. They walked away with a 52-41 victory over Pleasanton. For Uniontown, this counts as revenge for the 65-59 loss Pleasanton walked away with the last time they faced one another back in January.
When it comes to explaining why Pleasanton lost, one person who can't be blamed is Braden Baldwin. Despite the final result, he scored 13 points along with seven rebounds and three steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Baldwin has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Mario Davis, who scored nine points along with five rebounds.
Uniontown is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 9-7 record this season. As for Pleasanton, their defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 11-5.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Uniontown and Southeast will face off at 7:30 p.m. on February 9th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Southeast is on a four-game streak of home wins, Uniontown a three-game streak of away wins -- so someone will have to leave a streak behind on the court. As for Pleasanton, they will head out on the road to square off against Oswego at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Pleasanton focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up nine on Tuesday.
