The Pleasant Valley Bears scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Monday. They strolled past East Stroudsburg North with points to spare, taking the game 79-65. The win was just what Pleasant Valley needed coming off of a 69-43 loss in their prior match.
Loss or not, East Stroudsburg North got some senior leadership from Bryceson Dobie and Nate Wilder. Dobie scored 20 points along with seven rebounds and six assists, while Wilder. dropped a double-double on 22 points and 11 rebounds. Wilder hasn't dropped below 15points for nine straight games. Another player making a difference was Wayne King, who scored eight points along with seven rebounds and three steals.
Pleasant Valley has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 4-9 record this season. As for East Stroudsburg North, they dropped their record down to 9-6 with that defeat, which was their third straight on the road.
Pleasant Valley will face off against Lehigh Valley Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for East Stroudsburg North, they will be playing at home against Easton Area at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Easton Area will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Pennsylvania Rankings (they are ranked 369th, while East Stroudsburg North is ranked 164th).
