It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact the Nevada Union Miners can now relate to. They fell to Kimball 25-21.
Although Nevada Union took the loss, they still got scores from Rhyder Eelkema and Bodey Eelkema.
Leading Kimball to victory were Angelo Valencia and Josiah Wilson. Valencia picked up 122 receiving yards and two touchdowns, while Wilson threw for 243 yards and three touchdowns. Valencia was no stranger to the big play, lighting up the secondary with a catch that went for 65 yards.
Nevada Union's defeat dropped their record down to 6-5. As for Kimball, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games, which provided a massive bump to their 6-6 record this season.
Nevada Union does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Kimball will head out on the road to face off against Patterson at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Patterson will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak.
