The College Prep of America Thunder will look to defend their home court on Saturday against the Blue Island Eisenhower Cardinals at 3:30 p.m. Both teams are coming into the matchup red-hot, with College Prep of America sitting on three straight victories and the Cardinals on eight.
Last Wednesday, everything came up roses for College Prep of America at home against the Hurricanes as the team secured a 65-25 victory.
Ibrahim Elagha continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 21 points along with eight rebounds and six assists. He continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last four games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Essa Surti, who scored ten points.
Meanwhile, even though Reavis scored an imposing 61 points on Friday, Blue Island Eisenhower still came out on top. Blue Island Eisenhower strolled past the Rams with points to spare, taking the game 77-61. Given Blue Island Eisenhower's advantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 135th, while the Rams are ranked 413th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
College Prep of America's victory bumped their record up to 11-14. As for Blue Island Eisenhower, their victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 20-6.
