Even though The Birdville Hawks scored an imposing 35 points on Friday, the White Longhorns still came out on top. White came out on top in a nail-biter against Birdville and snuck past 38-35. For White, this counts as revenge for the 20-17 loss Birdville walked away with the last time they faced one another back in November of 2022.
Several Hawks players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Caleb Kelley, who picked up 95 receiving yards and a touchdown. Another player making a difference was Brian Kent, who picked up 95 receiving yards and a touchdown.
White has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 6-4 record this season. As for Birdville, their loss dropped their record down to 4-6.
White will head out on the road to face off against Lone Star at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Lone Star is coming into the match hot, having won their last eight games. Birdville does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
