The Flagler Panthers had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They came out on top against Kiowa by a score of 42-30 on Friday. For Flagler, this counts as revenge for the 42-29 loss Kiowa walked away with the last time they faced one another back in December of 2022.
Flagler's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Kade Homm, who scored 11 points. Keegan Isenbart was another key contributor, scoring 7 points along with 5 rebounds.
Flagler's victory bumped their record up to 1-0. As for Kiowa, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-1.
Flagler will take on Elbert at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday. As for Kiowa, they will head out on the road to face off against Calhan at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
