Victory Christian fell to Tuscaloosa Christian 40-12 last week, the largest margin of any game. Anthony Sharp was a bright spot for Victory Christian, as he ran for 88 yards and caught 2 passes for 11 yards in the defeat.
Chris Hamm's team made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 524 from 616. The improvement was largely due to a 40-12 victory over Victory Christian last week.
Victory Christian's dynamic duo of Reed Fulgham and Hunter Austin proved to be unstoppable against the Warriors, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Fulgham threw for 58 yards and Austin had 47 yards receiving. Sharp helped Victory Christian's passing attack out by catching 2 balls for 11 yards.
Hunter Sample was a beast in the backfield as Tuscaloosa Christian beat Victory Christian.
Sample provided a threat through the air and on the ground as David Arsenault's team defeated Victory Christian. Sample's key target this week was David Pearce, who caught 2 passes for 44 yards.
Leading Christian (8 Man) in both passing and receiving yards, Tabernacle's Caleb Lindsey and Tristan Castro have proven to be a lethal combination. 5-9 quarterback Lindsey has thrown for 1,345 yards this season, while Castro has 30 catches for 884 yards. Sharp from Victory Christian leads the league in rushing with 1,091 yards.
The most important game in the league this week will be the match up between the Warriors and New Life Christian. Tuscaloosa Christian comes into the matchup ranked third in the state, while New Life Christian ranks 16th.
Fans will be thrilled by an exciting game in the secondary when the Torches' Castro goes up against Victory Christian's Will Jones.
Sample of the the Warriors is just 89 yards short of surpassing 1,000 rushing yards for the season. In 127 carries Sample has accumulated 911 yard this year.
Next week's game between Tabernacle and Victory Christian will feature a good passing match up as Lindsey will test his arm against Jones' defensive ability.
