After flying high against the Philadelphia Academy Charter Chargers last Thursday, the Parkway Northwest Hoyas came back down to earth. Parkway Northwest wound up with the same score they had in their last game (53-33), but sadly the team found themselves on the wrong side of the score this time. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points they have scored all season.
Parkway Northwest's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Kahleem Jordan, who scored 12 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Xavier Dyer, who scored eight points.
Parkway Northwest's defeat dropped their record down to 6-2. As for Swenson Arts & Tech, the victory was the eighth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 8-1.
Parkway Northwest will be playing in front of their home fans against KIPP DuBois Collegiate Academy at 3:15 p.m. on Monday. KIPP DuBois Collegiate Academy will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Pennsylvania Rankings (they are ranked 690th, while Parkway Northwest is ranked 297th). As for Swenson Arts & Tech, they will head out on the road to square off against Science Leadership Academy at 3:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
