Derris Hansen was his usual excellent self, scoring 43 points along with three steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Charlie Adams, who scored seven points along with four steals.
The win made it two in a row for Boyd County and bumps their season record up to 8-10. As for Niobrara/Verdigre, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-18.
Boyd County will be playing in front of their home fans against Summerland [Clearwater/Ewing/Orchard] at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Summerland [Clearwater/Ewing/Orchard] is coming into the matchup with seven straight wins on the road, so Boyd County is out to stop a squad with plenty of momentum. As for Niobrara/Verdigre, they will square off against Neligh-Oakdale at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. Neligh-Oakdale is on an eight-game streak of home losses, Niobrara/Verdigre a 16-game streak of away losses (dating back to last season), but someone's luck is about to change.
