Madison and Brush are an even 5-5 against one another since April of 2019, but likely not for long. The Blue Streaks will host the Arcs at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The timing is sure in Madison's favor as the squad sits on five straight wins at home while Brush has been banged up by eight consecutive losses on the road dating back to last season.
Madison is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They were the clear victors by a 15-4 margin over Edgewood on Wednesday. The result was nothing new for the Blue Streaks, who have now won seven games by seven runs or more so far this season.
Landon Tomco looked comfortable as he tossed four innings while giving up just one earned (and three unearned) runs off three hits.

At the plate, Ben Amos and Eddy Gvora did most of the damage at the plate: Amos got on base in three of his four plate appearances with three stolen bases, four runs, and one RBI, while Gvora went a perfect 3-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and one double. Those four runs gave Amos a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of NathaN YarNell, who went 2-for-4 with four RBI and one run.
Madison kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in six consecutive contests.
Meanwhile, after soaring to 14 runs the game before, Brush was a bit more limited in their match on Wednesday. They fell 5-2 to Kirtland.
Brush saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Geofferson Betts, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base.
Brush's loss dropped their record down to 4-6. As for Madison, their win bumped their record up to 8-2.
Brush's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Madison hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .341. It's a different story for Brush, though, as they've only averaged .251. Will they be able to contain Madison's hitters?
Madison was able to grind out a solid victory over Brush in their previous matchup back in May of 2024, winning 5-2. Do the Blue Streaks have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Arcs turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
