Brooklyn Sanchez was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out 15 batters over seven innings while giving up just two earned runs off six hits (and not a single walk). She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in ten consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances with one run.
In other batting news, Elyse Santiago was incredible, going 1-for-3 with one home run and two runs. Heidi Porras was another key player, going 1-for-3 with one home run.
