There's no place like home for Routt Catholic, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Thursday. They narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past the West Central co-op [Winchester-Bluffs] Cougars 8-6. The victory continues a trend for the Rockets in their matchups with the Cougars: they've now won five in a row.

Brady Turner was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-4 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

In other batting news, Routt Catholic let Talon Thompson and Samuel Long run wild. Thompson went 1-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI, while Long went 1-for-2 with one triple and two RBI. Jacob Brown was another key player, going 1-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

Routt Catholic's win bumped their record up to 10-4. As for West Central co-op [Winchester-Bluffs], with the defeat, they broke their ten-game winning streak and moved their record to 12-2.
